Our history
From the Laryngeal Mask Airway to a specialist medical manufacturer.
Clinitech Polymers Ltd was established in 1989 by Tony Anthony and John Lewin, both healthcare-sector specialists previously with Dunlop Precision Rubbers in Shepshed. The company was formed to manufacture the Laryngeal Mask Airway (LMA), an anaesthetic airway device developed by Dr Archie Brain.
Through the 1990s the business developed a portfolio of specialist medical product lines. Clinical Polymer Technologies (CPT) now operates as part of Clinipol Holdings Ltd, a group of three companies producing precision moulded polymer components for the healthcare and aerospace markets.
CPT has established itself as more than a rubber moulder. The business manufactures niche medical products and provides the skill-sets and facilities required to take a concept through development to fully packaged production.

FURS registered
Registered with the FDA as a Foreign Manufacturer under FURS, supporting US-market device submissions and GMP compliance.
ISO 13485 certified
Our quality management system is certified to ISO 13485:2016 for the manufacture of medical devices, routinely audited and continuously maintained.
Facilities
Purpose-built for medical component manufacture.
A modern facility in the centre of the UK, adjacent to junction 22 of the M1. The site operates Arburg and Maplan injection presses from 20 to 160 tonne, compression presses, a materials mill and ISO 8 Class K (100,000) cleanrooms for the manufacture of critical medical components.
